Conjoined twins Rabeya and Rokaiya are set to be flown for Hungary on Friday night (today around evening time) for treatment. When they restore, a medical procedure will be performed at Dhaka Medical College Hospital to isolate them, specialists state.
Head administrator Sheik Hasina has assumed the liability of the treatment of the twins. Wellbeing Minister Mohammed Nasim gave over the PM's awards to the twins' folks at a media instructions at the DMCH on Friday morning.
"The PM has wanted for accomplishment of the treatment," Nasim said.
Rabeya and Rokaiya were destined to teacher couple Rafiqul Islam and Taslima Khatun at Atlanka town in Pabna's Chatmohar upazila in 2016.
They are joined at the head. Rabeya and Rokaiya must be taken to Bangabandhu Sheik Mujib Medical University five days after their introduction to the world for treatment.
Conjoined twins are uncommon and contemplated one in each 200,000 live births.
DMCH Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit boss organizer Dr Samanta Lal Sen said the twins would be treated at the joint activity of Bangladesh and Hungary. "Twenty individuals from five groups from Hungary, Germany and Bangladesh will cooperate," he said.
PM Hasina requested organizing vital treatment for the twins when she found out about them. They were hospitalized in November 2017. Dr Sen said agents of German and Hungarian groups were available here around then.
Two medical procedures had been performed on them. The primary activity will occur at the Sheik Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute after they come back from Hungary.
Teacher Abul Kalam Azad, the unit's chief, said Rabeya and Rokaiya's cerebrums are discrete. "We have to expand tissues to segregate them totally," he stated, taking note of that such tasks had an under 20 percent achievement rate.
The twins should remain in Hungary for three to four months. They will be under the consideration of Hungary-based Bangladeshi association 'For Bangladesh'.
Rabeya and Rokaiya will be joined by four others, including Dr Hossain Imam, their specialist at the consume unit.
