The High Commission of India, Dhaka yesterday praised the 150th birth commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi as a feature of its yearlong festivals program titled 'Gandhi @150', said a public statement.
Instruction Minister Dr. Dipu Moni went to the program as boss visitor.
The occasion saw a colossal cooperation by younger students from Delhi Public School Dhaka, SFX Green Herald International School, Dhaka and Bangladesh Scouts, who talked on the various goals of Mahatma Gandhi and how these standards motivated them.
As a major aspect of the Government of India's 150th birth commemoration festivities of Mahatma Gandhi, craftsmen from more than 124 nations paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by rendering his most loved bhajan 'Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye'.
The High Commissioner gave over the book 'Vaishnav Jan Toh Tene Kahiye' to Rabindra Sangeet type and recognized ICCR graduated class awardee Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya, in acknowledgment for her version to Gandhiji's most loved bhajan.
The festivals additionally observed a melodic tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by Sharmila Banerjee and troupe.
