India will present an adaptable e-visitor visa system dependent on traveler footfall, with higher expense for July to March pinnacle season and an extensively lower charge during April to June lean period, Tourism Minister Prahlad Patel said on Tuesday.
Talking at the initiation of a gathering with state government agents on the travel industry, Patel said the move was to urge vacationers to visit India, reports Khaleej Times.
"India to offer 30-day e-visitor visa with $10 charge during lean period April to June and $25 expense during pinnacle the travel industry period from July to March," he said.
While the Home Ministry has endorsed the new visa system, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is before long expected to give its endorsement on the charge angle, authorities said.
Another five-year e-visitor visa will be presented with $80 charge and a one year e-vacationer visa with $40 expense, Patel said.
"For Japan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, lean period visa charges is $10 and for e-visa of 30 days, 1 year and 5 years is $25," he said.
