Britain 258 full scale in second Ashes Test

Britain were rejected for 258 by Australia in the subsequent Ashes Test at Lord's on Thursday.

Just opener Rory Burns (53) and wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow, last man out for 52, passed fifty after England were sent into bat by Australia skipper Tim Paine following an all out washout of Wednesday's first day.

Quick bowler Josh Hazlewood, the main change to the Australia side that won the primary Test by 251 keeps running at Edgbaston a week ago, drove the assault with three wickets for 58 keeps running from 22 overs.

New-ball accomplice Pat Cummins took 3-61 from 21 while off-spinner Nathan Lyon equalled Australia pace extraordinary Dennis Lillee's count of 355 Test wickets with an arrival of 3-68.

Fiery remains holders Australia are hoping to win their first Test arrangement away to England for a long time.
