Craftsmanship can set us free: Asaduzzaman Noor

Previous social issues serve Asaduzzaman Noor has encouraged guardians to propel their youngsters to investigate workmanship, culture and history.

"We have to give them (understudies) openings like this occasion where individuals can find out about their gifts," he said at the opening of a three-day craftsmanship presentation at Zainul Gallery of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dhaka University (DU) on Saturday.

Famous illustrator Prof Rafiqun Nabi, DU Fine Art Faculty Dean Prof Nisar Hossain, UNDP Bangladesh Country Director Sudipto Mukherjee, JICA Country Program Coordinator Naoki Matsumura and Astrotex Group Director Tahmina Tanji went to the occasion as extraordinary visitors.

"I didn't envision that it'd be this stunning," Nabi said. "This display can clearly be viewed as a scaffold between the provincial and urban craftsmen."

Prof Nisar said that such shows are important to "make a breathing space" in our general public.

Guide of Art Festival 2019 Gazipur and Additional Secretary of the Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Md Mohsin directed the program. He commended the activity and asked UNDP and JICA to proceed with their steady coordinated efforts.

Fine arts from 'Workmanship Festival 2019 Gazipur', hung on March 27-30 at Bhawal Mirzapur Haji Jamir Uddin School and College, were shown at the occasion.
