Romeo Akbar Walter is set against the scenery of the India-Pakistan War of 1971. In the film, performing artist John Abraham assumes the title job who fills in as a covert operator for the Indian knowledge office.
Asked what made her join the cast of Romeo Akbar Walter, Mouni stated: "I truly loved the content of Romeo Akbar Walter. I recollect when the movie's chief Robbie Grewal was portraying the story to me... amidst the portrayal, I understood that I needed to be a piece of this film. It's an extremely intriguing story. It's about a man who surrenders everything for his nation. He forfeits his name, family and love."
