CSK walk around humble RCB

Chennai Super Kings whipped Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets in Chennai the previous evening. Chennai's attention groups like to call MA Chidambram the "lion's nook", yet nobody promoted the minefield that anticipated the season opener for this IPL.

The Super Kings spinners accepting eight wickets as Royal Challengers were bowled out for 70, the 6th least score in IPL. Harbhajan Singh took out the cream of Royal Challengers' batting: Virat Kohli, Moeen Ali and de Villiers. Just for the third time in the IPL, the initial eight overs were bowled out by only two bowlers. Chahar kept it tight and Harbhajan did the harm with 4-0-20-3.

Illustrious Challengers opened with Yuzvendra Chahal, who sent Shane Watson back for a duck. Ambati Rayudu, however, batted cleverly, picking his objectives - regularly pace - and did what's necessary to oversee his side.
