Bangladesh lady 'with two bellies' brings forth twins 26 days after her first child

A lady from Jashore has brought forth twins 26 days after the introduction of her first tyke.

The mother and the three infants are progressing admirably.

A specialist says the uncommon episode happened in light of the fact that she has two uteruses.

The lady, Arifa Sultana Iti, is the spouse of Sumon Biswas from Shyamlagachhi town in Sharsha.

She brought forth their first child, a kid, at Khulna Medical College Hospital on Feb 25, Sumon told bdnews24.com.

The child is fine now after specialists took his consideration following the untimely birth, he said.

Iti was taken to the Ad-Dwin Hospital in Jashore on Mar 22 when she became sick 26 days after the introduction of the kid, the spouse said.

She brought forth a kid and a young lady in a cesarean area there, he said.

Sheila Poddar, the head of the medical clinic's gynecology division, told bdnews24.com that she found in a ultrasonography test that Iti has two uteruses.

"The main infant was conceived from one belly. The two children brought into the world here are from the other belly," she said.

"It's an uncommon occurrence. I have seen such a case out of the blue. I hadn't caught wind of such episode previously," the specialist said.
