Hetmyer, Cottrell star as Windies level arrangement

West Indies created an emotional rebound to beat England by 26 keeps running in Barbados on Friday and level their five-coordinate one-day arrangement at 1-1.

The hosts, who finished a 10-coordinate losing streak in one-day internationals against England, made 289 for six with left-hander Shimron Hetmyer hitting a radiant unbeaten 104 from 83 balls, including four sixes.

Chris Gayle, who scored a century in the opening match of the arrangement won by England, had established the framework with a strong 50 from 63 balls.

Yet, it was Hetmyer, the 22-year-old Guyanese, who got the group on their feet with his showy innings including some incredible ad libbed strokes just as reasonable collection.

Morgan felt his group ought to have improved

"A diversion is never won until comfortable end. We thought 290 was well without our capacities. We committed errors and it hurt us, and West Indies had the right to win," he said.
