Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding rumours have caught the country in their grip and now Kabir Bedi is adding fuel to the fire. The veteran actor shared a cryptic tweet on Monday and we wonder if we can take it as a confirmation of the star couple’s wedding.
“Great couple! Great locale in Italy! Great event! Wishing @RanveerOfficial and @deepikapadukone a wonderful wedding, and a lifetime of happiness,” Kabir wrote in a tweet. While this should be good enough as a confirmation, there is indeed a catch to it. Kabir tweeted these wishes in response to an article in Filmfare about Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding. Perhaps he read the article, thought it to be true and hence sent across his wishes without confirming it with the couple. Or quite simply, he has already been sent a wedding card. We hope Kabir lets us know soon enough.
According to the Filmfare article, the couple will tie the knot in Italy on November 20. The wedding venue, says the report, will be near the serene and scenic, Lake Como. Ranveer and Deepika seem really inspired by Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s secret getaway wedding. “It’s a very special day for both Ranveer and Deepika which is why they just want the close ones to be present for their wedding ceremony. Mostly it will be their families and a few close friends. The guest list consists of merely 30 people and that’s exactly how these two want it. Italy is a favourite destination of both Ranveer and Deepika so they want to keep their big day more of a private affair. They are looking forward to hosting grand receptions once they’re back in India post the wedding,” a source told the magazine.
The two were recently spotted in Italy with Deepika’s sister, Anisha. They were seen walking hand-in-hand, trying to avoid cameras and reportedly yelling at fans who tried to click their pictures. Once back in Mumbai, they stepped out of the airport holding hands and he even gave her a sweet kiss in her car.
Their online PDA is also out of control these days. Both of them leave loved-up comments on each other’s photos on Instagram and last week, Deepika also shared a picture of herself and Anisha, clicked by Ranveer.
Deepika and Ranveer have worked in three films together, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. He also had a guest appearance in her film Finding Fanny.HT.
