‘Ananda Mela’ presents Tagore song in unique way

Five popular singers lend vocal for the song

Bangladesh Television’s prominent Eid magazine programme ‘Ananda Mela’ presents something unique and keeps surprises in store for the viewers.
For the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, the show has included ‘Anondoloke Mongolaloke’, a remarkable song of Rabindranath Tagore, with a new musical arrangement.
The song was performed by Akhi Alamgir, Bappa Mazumder, Kona, Konal and Balam.
The new arrangement has been composed by National Film Award music director Shawkat Ali Emon.
DhakaLive has news that the recording of the song was completed on August 7, while the shooting of the song took place at the main auditorium of BTV (Bangladesh Television) on last Thursday.
“I have composed a symphony pattern for this song. I don’t think anyone has used this musical way to express this song. All the singers have rendered the song quite beautifully. I am delighted to work on this song as a director,” said Emon.
The anchor duo of Dilara Hanif Purnima and Ferdous Ahmed will be seen hosting this version of ‘Ananda Mela’.
Planned by Bangladesh Television director General Harun R Rashid, the magazine programme has been produced by Md Mahfuzur Rahman and L Ruma.
