Weeklong photo exhibition ‘Land of Northern Light’ underway



The Consulate of Finland in Bangladesh has organised a photo exhibition titled ‘Land of Northern Light’ to celebrate Finland’s hundred years of independence and continuous democracy. The weeklong exhibition is underway at the Daily Star-Bengal Arts Precinct in the capital’s Farmgate area.


Ambassador of Finland to India and Bangladesh Nina Vaskunlahti inaugurated the exhibition on Saturday on the Arts Precinct premises along with the Honourary Consul General of Finland to Bangladesh and Chairman of Summit Group of Companies Muhammed Aziz Khan. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith was the special guest at the event.
The exhibition showcases the work of renowned photographers Miikka Niemi, Asko Kuittinen, Markku Inkila, Jorma Luhta and Markus Thomenius. The photos were displayed in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bangalore prior to coming to Dhaka. This exhibition will give viewers the opportunity to experience the magic of the Northern lights. The exhibition is open to all everyday from 11am to 7pm until November 3.
