Bangladesh Fashion Week London 2017 (BFWL17) is the second show hosted by British Bangladesh Fashion Council (BBFC). Fashion designers from UK and Bangladesh like Chandana R Dewan, Maheen Khan, Mehruz Munir, Lipi Khandaker, Sahar Rahman to name a few out of the fifteen who are participating, will be unveiling exclusive line-ups only for this show.
While the first show held in 2016 focused on party and bridal wear, this year's focus will be on the latest fashion trends and styles from Bangladesh and the UK. After all, bridal wear is not the only fashion product, and designers need to display their experimentations as well.
Originally, this was intended to be a platform to show case Bangladeshi fashion. At the same time the focus is to bridge the gap between UK based designers and Bangladeshi designers. It's not only the fashion trends, BFWL17 is also the canvas for makeup artists, hair stylists, jewellery and accessory designers to flex their creative muscles.
