Actor Shakib Khan sued for 'disclosing' auto-rickshaw driver's phone number in movie

The calls mostly came from movie star Shakib Khan's female fans after the actor gave the number in a film.

The phone calls 'nearly broke' his marriage and the auto-rickshaw driver from Habiganj has now sued the actor, demanding Tk 5 million in damages.
Ijajul also named Director Bulbul Biswas and Producer Ashfaque Ahmed of 'Rajneeti' for using his phone number in the film in a case started at Habiganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Shampa Jahan's court on Sunday.
Shakib and his wife Apu Biswas returned as a couple on the silver screen after a long time through this movie released on June 26.
In a scene of 26 minutes, the protagonist Shakib gave heroine Apu 'his phone number', which was actually of Ijajul from Jatrapasha village of Baniachang Upazila.
Ijajul said in the case he received 432 calls only between July 10 and July 15.
A house help from Khulna also came to his house, thinking it of Shakib Khan's.
Ijajul's wife got mad at his husband seeing him getting phone calls from women throughout the days and nights.
He alleged he was struggling to save his marriage after the phone calls started coming.
MA Mazid, the lawyer for Ijajul, said the court recorded the case and ordered the Detective Branch of police to investigate it.
